Policy on Use of IAAP Sponsor Logos |
|
The IAAP Board of Directors recently approved the "Standards for Appropriate Use of International Sponsor's Name and Logo to Support Local Marketing Activities." The purpose of these standards is to provide IAAP Chapters and Divisions with guidelines on how to position international-level sponsors' names, logos and trademarks in an appropriate manner on local marketing materials, if applicable. Our corporate partners trust that IAAP will use their trademarks in a manner that will not detract from their brand or image in any way. If you are thinking of using any our sponsors' trademarks in your local marketing materials, please refer to these standards in the creation of your documents. If you have questions regarding the standards please contact the Corporate Relations Department at IAAP Headquarters for assistance. |

Due to a high volume of requests, only $2,000 remains of the total annual budgeted funds of $20,000 available for the 2007-2008 IAAP Division and Chapter Cooperative Marketing Assistance Program. To date, a total of 40 chapters and/or divisions have submitted applications for free marketing materials for community outreach events. Chapters and divisions receiving the free marketing materials have organized events attended by 50 to 5,000 potential new members. Applications for the remaining funds can be obtained under "Division/Chapter Resources" in the "Members' Place" area of the IAAP website or by contacting Joy Johnston at jjohnston@iaap-hq.org.
Chapters still have
an opportunity to conduct an IMPACT
meeting and enter into the Bi-Annual IMPACT Competition. The top 10 IAAP
chapters that conduct an IMPACT meeting between July 1, 2007 through
December 31, 2007 and sustain the highest percentage of net growth from
their IMPACT meeting will receive $175. An official entry form must be
completed and the IMPACT invitation submitted to Headquarters by
January 15, 2008. For further details on this competition, log in to
"Members' Place" on IAAP's website and click on Division/Chapter Resources;
"Recruitment Contests."
To promote friendly competition among IAAP members and leaders, awards are offered for exemplary performance in membership growth at all levels of the organization. The Award Criteria reflects the organization's growth goals.

CHAPTER BEST PRACTICES

Oftentimes, IAAP chapters don’t give a lot of thought to the program topic that members want covered at a monthly meeting, or who would be the best person to deliver it.
Instead, they look for someone who will do a program (sometimes any program) for free. Needless to say, this is not the best selection process. However, let’s assume that you have surveyed your members, identified a suitable topic, and found someone who is knowledgeable and graciously agrees to present. At that point, what should you do to make sure that the program goes smoothly and members find benefit from the interaction?
May 2008 Exams
It is not too
early to think about the 2008 exams. The deadline date to apply for
approval to take the May 2008 CPS or CAP exams is February 15,
2008.
New candidates will find the current Certification
Application Packet on the web at
www.iaap-hq.org/Cert/CertAppPacket.pdf. Approved retake
candidates will receive a personalized registration form in January.
