Office workers day

Bosses everywhere today will be reminded to honor the administrative professionals who help make their offices work well.

The Memphis chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals will honor their professional of the year at the 52nd annual Administrative Professionals Day luncheon at the Holiday Inn at the University of Memphis. Melanie Holmes, Manpower International's senior vice president, assessment and development, will speak.

Cutless paper

And just in time of AdminPro Day, International Paper says a recent survey shows more than half of administrative assistants endure at least one paper cut a month. To combat the problem, IP has introduced Cutless paper for file folders, which makes thicker, softer yet stiffer folders that can cut paper-cut injuries 70 percent, the manufacturer says.
