What is an IAAP Student Chapter? An IAAP student chapter is formed in high schools with administrative careers programs, in vocational technical schools that are not accredited, or in accredited post-secondary institutions. Student criteria: Students participating in the program at the high school level must be enrolled in at least one class in a business curriculum at a secondary school or non-accredited post-secondary institution. At the post-secondary level, students may enroll in the program if they are enrolled in at least one course in a business curriculum. A full-time student in business education: maximum 4-years in Student classification. What are the criteria for Student Membership? Students interested in being a member of an IAAP Student Chapter must join IAAP as a student member-at-large at the annual dues rate of $22 (U.S.). IAAP Student chapter Advisors must join IAAP as a professional member-at-large at the annual dues rate of $53. Students and advisors may also join an existing IAAP chapter. Why sponsor an IAAP Student Chapter? IAAP chapter/member sponsors may greatly enhance the student experience by providing an insider's look at the administrative profession; acting as mentors to individual students where appropriate; offering encouragement and guidance; assisting in developing chapter programs; providing special student registration discounts to IAAP events; giving scholarships to students and/or their teachers/advisors.
