|CAP State Registry|
IAAP Certified Administrative Professional® (CAP) is now recognized by the State of Indiana as Indiana State Certified Administrative Professionals.
Indiana is the first state in the United States to legislate State Certified Administrative Professionals via the Self-Certification Registry. Registries of this nature supply employers and consumers with a reference list of administrative professionals who excel in their field and have demonstrated competencies through the voluntary certification process.
CAP designees are not required to reside in Indiana to submit for inclusion in the Indiana State Registry.
Until July 1 apply online at http://www.in.gov/pla/3931.htm and click on Privately Certified Registry to become an Indiana Certified Administrative Professional.
6/15/2017 - NOTICE to CAP holders: For the period 7/01/2017 through January 2018, Indiana is not receiving applications to the Certification Registry. The July 1, 2017 cut-off date was built into the original legislation IC 25-1-18-14 in the event there was no response. Then came the International Association of Administrative Professionals! Following the January 2018 session of the Indiana Legislature, notice will be posted on the Certification tab when Indiana is again receiving registry applications. Those who have already obtained Indiana State Certification will continue in good standing. Thank you for your patience as the Indiana Legislative process continues for the nation’s first Certification Registry.
IAAP is hopeful more states will follow suit with certification registries for administrative professionals. Several dedicated CAP designees are currently working to make this a reality.
