I have been employed as an administrative professional for 32 years and have worked for my current employer for 27 years. They were my first client when I operated a successful home-based secretarial service.

Most of the time my employer sees how valuable I am to the organization (I'm the only administrative/office support staff). However, there are still times I'm treated as the "office girl" and feel they don't realize all I do to keep their company going. That is why, at the age of 52, I have decided to prepare myself for future endeavors. I have always loved learning and feel studying and passing the CAP Exam will be a huge step in the right direction.

I have enrolled in the CAP study group led by Marie Herman. Although I haven't sat for an actual exam for MANY years, I am confident and ready to face this challenge!

After many weeks of studying for the CAP Exam, the time is drawing closer to actual test day! I will be taking the CAP Exam on Saturday, September 10. Marie's online study group has been very helpful, and I would recommend it to anyone planning to take the exam. It's hard to find time to study when working a full and part time job, however, being able to listen to the recordings and print off her powerpoints has been a tremendous help! Just like anything else worth having, you have to be prepared to invest time and energy to get the results you want. I have done both and will do the best I can on test day.
