I had a question about how to display the CAP credential if you want to show Masters as well. Would this be correct for LinkedIn - Charlene Blair, CAP, M.S.? I got the CAP first and it seems that we should keep it behind our last names and add any other certifications/degrees.

I know that some people have Project Management or Human Resources certifications in addition to the OM or TA that they could get from IAAP.

I have always been told that you should do them alphabetically - except when it comes to educational degrees. Those you do by 'rank'. (BS, MA, MS, PhD). But certifications like ours should be alphabetical. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong !

In the world of academia, the proper display order is degrees, licenses, and certifications. Further, degrees should be done by rank and licenses and certifications alphabetically as Kim stated. I'm sure there are other thoughts on how to display.

In addition to my CAP-OM-TA, I have also earned my MOS and three insurance-related designations. I display them as follows in my email signature line:

Ann Dahlke, CAP-OM-TA, MOS, HIA, MHP, ALHC

My reasoning for this particular order is that the CAP-OM-TA and MOS are most relevant to what I do on a daily basis as an administrative professional, so I choose to list them first. Furthermore, my insurance designations do not require any recertification, so I feel the CAP, which I am required to recertify, is more relevant.

I recently completed my bachelor's degree and need to update my business cards. I get that BS comes first in the line, followed by the certification. But I'm seeing several different ways to express the CAP, OM. I thought I saw something last fall or sooner that it's CAP, OM, as opposed to CAP-OM or CAP OM or something else. Can someone please clarify exactly which is the correct expression?

Love the discussion and wondering if I should add BS to my business card. I won't but I do wonder about it at times. As for IAAP credentials, when the OM designation came out everyone had a different way so we were instructed to officially used CAP-OM. Most recently, after going through accreditation, we were advised the proper way was CAP, OM. I believe the reasoning is OM is a specialty certificate where CAP is a certification. Although you must have your CAP rating before achieving the OM certificate, it is not part of the certification. When CAP-OM is used, my mind says this is the certification/rating. Yes, I have a crazy mind.
