My name is Elizabeth Ross and I will be taking the CAP exam this fall. I have many years of experience of Administrative work but have never really thought about taking the exam. I begin doing some research and found out that my employer will give me a 9% raise when I become CAP certified. I have joined Marie Herman's study group and can tell already it is going to be very beneficial. I am excited but anxious to begin this journey. Any help, tips or encouragement is welcomed!

When I obtained certification in 2004, it put me a place where I felt I could ask for a promotion which I got and along with that was a 5% pay increase. The commitment I placed on obtaining certification was a good indicator to the decision makers that I was worthy of the promotion.
