Hello all! I tried to search current posts to see if anyone had any information about the 2019 spring exam and didn't find what I was looking for. I realize folks are focusing on the fall 2018 exam (Good Luck! You Rock!) My question is should purchase the 2018 exam study guide if I am taking the spring 2019 exam? I want to give myself plenty of time to study but don't want to waste time on material that may be outdated by exam time. I plan to join Marie Herman's study group but I'm sure that won't open until after the fall exam. Any prep advice you may have is more than welcome!!

There will most likely be some changes to the 2019 exam. I sat for the 2018 spring exam and I studied every day from January to April. It was enough. Best of luck!

I took the CAP in 2017, however I originally purchased the Study Guide for 2016 and used that in my preparation for my 2017 exam. I purchased the book early because I knew that I wanted to start studying in short time slots, 20-30 mins. For me, having the book early meant that I could gradually study and not feel like prepping for the test was another burden. I hope this helps you with your decision.

Hi Shelley!

You will be able to use the 2018 3rd edition study guide to prepare for the Spring 2019 exam. They will not be coming out with a new version before then. I verified that with HQ.

And, yes, as you saw, I have opened registration on my Spring 2019 study group since I had so many people asking for it.

Hi everyone! What material(s) are suggested for prep - I see so many options. What is the difference between the Study Guide and the SmartBook - should I get the bundle or will one be sufficient? Thank you ~Angie

Thanks for asking this question. I'm in the process of applying for the Spring 2019 exam (with the hopes of being accepted) & wondered if it was too early. I figured that if I do get accepted, the earlier I start studying the better....
