Good Morning. I have been a member of IAAP for about 7 or 8 years now. I just made the decision to take the CAP exam. I received approval from my employer to sign up for the Bootcamp, but after reading several posts, now I'm nervous. What exactly is "Marie's class"? And what exactly am I getting myself into?? I'm also going back and forth between the Organizational Management specialty and the Project Management specialty - any suggestions? Any tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated.

LOL "Marie's class" is my study group that I lead. It started this week and goes until March 30 (every Tuesday night). You can learn more at www.mrhenterprises.com/CAPStudyGroup.shtml. You could still join if you would like to. As for the specialties, they are a moot point at this moment. You cannot pursue them until AFTER you have your CAP. :) As far as what you are getting yourself into, I tell the students in my study group to plan on spending 4-8 hours a week on average preparing for the exam overall.

So that I'm understanding, I should just do the CAP Stone Bootcamp and Marie's class and the certification will come later - correct??

Marie's class is a virtual class offered by Marie Herman. A number of people take her class to help prepare for the CAP exam. She will give you hints and tricks and focuses on a specific area of the test each week. it will help you to know what areas to expect and what to focus on. she also gives test taking hints. to me it was worth it.

I am not sure you need to take Marie's class and the boot camp. I don't know that I have heard of anyone doing both. Marie's study group will for sure equip you to pass and it's much less expensive than the boot camp if my memory serves correct.

I did the boot camp after taking Marie's study group and I 100% recommend doing Marie's study group. I received more information and knowledge from the study group, I also passed the exam on my 1st try.
