Join us for our first ever in-person offering of the Organizational Management (OM) Specialty Certificate! Through this course, you'll learn to enhance your supervisory and leadership skills to further grow professionally through increased knowledge and application of organizational behavior, communication, teamwork, and strategic planning abilities in the workplace.

As we tackle organizational management in this 2.5 day live training, it’s all about improving your work relationships, and environment. The course objective is to enhance supervisory and leadership skills through increased knowledge and application of organizational behavior, communication, teamwork, and strategic planning abilities in the workplace. With a heavy emphasis on communication throughout all the components, we will work to develop more effective skills as individuals and teams. This is quite possibly the most practical training you will ever receive because it serves as a big dose of conflict prevention!

 

This Organizational Management (OM) Specialty Certificate course offers a deep dive into the following topics:

• Organizational Behavior
• Compelling Communication
• Effective Teamwork Skills
• Strategic Planning

 

For each learning component, we will use a variety of learning and practice techniques: interactive lectures, group discussions, videos, group challenges and even games.

 

Day One

1. Organizational behavior learning objectives

a. Distinguish between intrapersonal and interpersonal behavior and their impact on your professional advancement

b. Interpret the effect diversity has on an organization’s success and future growth

 

2. Compelling Communication learning objectives

a. Explain how personality types affect communication styles, professional interactions, and then employ professional communication strategies to meet individual needs

b. Employ professional communication to impart influence in the workplace
c. Analyze conflict resolution strategies and implement in professional situations

 

Day Two

1. Effective Teamwork learning objectives

a. Examine how organizations and individuals benefit when employees work in teams

b. Demonstrate how to build and maintain a high performing team and manage difficult behavior in team environments

 

Day Three (1/2 day)

1. Strategic Planning learning objectives

a. Describe the importance of processes and procedures in strategic planning
b. Demonstrate how to develop a strategic plan to facilitate positive organizational change

*Participants will select one of the four learning components and develop a personal or organizational project designed to be implemented post training.
