My Reason for Sitting the CAP Exam
As an essential aspect of being in the know, I believe in keeping up-to-date with technology and trends in the administrative field, the world as a whole, and retooling myself educationally. The CAP exam is one of the tools/resources in which I can be constantly knowledgeable of the administrative field and is a positive advancement in a career, as an Administrative Professional, thus my willingness to sit the exam. In sitting the CAP exam, I anticipate obtaining a wider perspective, sharing, and support with and from others globally about the Administrative Professional career. I also, hope to build more relationships, sharpen, and improve my technical and soft skills which includes communication, listening, time management, problem solving, and leading skills which will help me to perform more efficiently at work, develop my organizational skills, and assist others. In my preparation for this exam I plan to follow the instructions, given in my study group, utilize the concepts and theories in my work environment ensuring that what I have learned is reinforced and bring dynamics and innovative ways of thinking to my organization. Read all the materials available on the subject and stay abreast of current affairs through all the available resources which includes, magazines, books, networking, online, etc. I intend never to give up on my goal to become a CAP designee and will seek help where necessary, as I support the proverb "if at first you don't succeed, try, try and try again". I plan to document and implement successful strategies for overcoming challenges that can or may occur during my exam preparation. I believe this certification will give me the opportunity to practice, refine, prepare, and manage the endless, fast-paced, and cutting edge technology and concepts that exists in today’s society.

Why I'm Taking the CAP Exam
I am taking the CAP exam because I want to make sure I have the latest knowledge to be the best I can be and provide the best service to my CEO and organization. It's been a while since I've been out of school, and I've been in the business world for many, many years. At first I was really nervous because when I took the pre-assessment test in the study guide, I felt like I wasn't very well prepared. However, as I am reading and going through my studies, I am learning that I actually know more than I thought I did - many things are just called something different or actually have a name to them whereas before I have just done them or they have come 2nd nature to me. Plus, I have the best study buddy in the world to encourage me...
