CAP Certification
I did it, I signed up for the exam! I started my career with my present company 21 years ago in the Accounting department and have since moved to Administration. As I've changed jobs I've always learned all I can, and I can safely say I have a good idea about most of the manufacturing jobs at the dairy. My job has always been a hybrid of numerous jobs, both administrative and manufacturing until last year. When the company was bought by a private equity firm we hired four C-suite associates who I am now the boss of as they say. :-) With my job evolving into a "real" administrative position I thought it would be a good time to see what certifications are available. It has become even more apparent that a certification would be a good idea as we just acquired another company this week. I've always been the person everyone goes to (my nickname is Office Mom) and I want to continue being that person. I can safely say the certification is daunting, but I believe being in Marie's study group will help me prepare. I'm also lucky enough to have a husband who will work with me and help me study and a boss that believes in me. Good luck to everyone else signing up for the test!
