CAP Certification
Hello Everyone! My name is Elisabeth Pass, and I am beginning my journey for CAP certification in Spring 2021. I am an Executive Assistant to the CIO for one of the world's largest flooring manufacturers. Professionally, this really won't benefit me, as my company has no idea what this is or the significance; it's simply something that I have always wanted to achieve for myself, but being a married mother of two, never felt like I could commit the time necessary. I thought the time was right in 2019, as I was turning 50. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, so surviving became my focus. The cancer is at bay for now (there is an 80% chance of reoccurrence in the first 2 years, then a 50% chance the next 3 years), so I decided at the end of 2020 I would take the leap. A friend of mine received her certification a couple of years ago and highly recommended Marie Herman's online study group to prepare for this exam, and that's what led me here. Hoping this nearly 52 year old, chemo-riddled brain can keep up! Good luck to everyone studying to take the exam.

You have some extra special incentive and some extra special challenges to work around for your certification, but it is eminently doable. Be gentle with yourself and recognize that you are clearly stronger than you know! I'm excited to share your certification journey.
