Spring 2021 CAP Exam
Good Morning! I am excited to embark on the CAP journey! I have been in an administrative role in some form or fashion since 2001. I did not know there was a certification that applied to this profession until I became a member of IAAP. Becoming certified is a goal on my development plan this year. My boss is fully supportive of this goal and is cheering me on to success. His plan is to promote me to an Executive Administrative Assistant once my certification is complete. To prepare for the exam, I am attending Marie Herman's study group. I am reading the CAP Study Guide and any other assigned reading that Marie recommends. I'm grateful for this opportunity!

Well that would certainly be an awesome result of achieving certification, although I'd be careful about putting too much pressure on yourself with that. This is a worthy exam all on its own! Smile Let's go get you certified (and promoted!).

I am grateful to share that I passed the exam! I enjoyed Marie's class. She does a FANTASTIC job teaching the material and guiding one through the CAP journey. Her class kept me on track and focused. It was well worth the investment. When I received my results, a wave of relief washed over me. I immediately informed my boss and other admin co-workers. I felt very proud to have accomplished this goal. It's been a long time since I have been proud of myself like that. I highly recommend anyone considering to obtain their CAP certification to take the plunge. It is a wonderful opportunity and growth experience!

Hello, congratulations on passing the CAP test. I am currently in Marie's study group. I am doing this journey to prove myself that as a French Canadian, being English as my second language, that I can do it, but honestly, it's hard because I don't read fast, I loose my focus, I feel I am falling behind, and am scared. You are the only one I am sharing this with... any advice?

Helene
