Since I graduated college, I have always worked as a secretary/admin assistant/executive assistant. It has been a very long time. I wanted to take the exam but was trying to save some money by asking my company to sponsor; unfortunately, my request was declined. Finally, I have made up my mind and joined Marie's fall study group to get this exam over with. It will ultimately benefit me. I'll gain the knowledge and strength for my future roles. That is so frustrating when companies don't support the professional development of their employees. On the plus side, once you have achieved your certification, you will be in an even better place to make a decision on if that is the right place for you or if it is time to move on to where you are more valued.
