Taking the CAP Leap
Hi everyone! After many years of consideration, I've decided to pursue and sit for CAP certification this fall. I'm an administrative professional with over 20 years of experience, and I also own my own business. I'm passionate about continuous education, refining my skillset and leadership competencies, and seeking ways to provide exceedingly impactful value to those I partner with. The reason(s) I haven't taken the CAP up to now are basically life - juggling children and life stressors. My kids are now self-sufficient, independent adults and I'm a place where I feel I can focus on achieving this goal. I'm committed to preparing for the exam by being scheduling intentional study time and participating in Marie Herman's CAP Study Group. I have a propensity to procrastinate (I think that would make a great saying for a coffee mug!) but I feel confident with her coaching and the accountability of a study cohort, that I will be well-prepared for the October exam window. I'm looking forward to this journey and accomplishing a long-desired goal. Best of luck to everyone else taking the journey too!
