Grinding & Growth in 2023
Hi IAAP Community!
I'm Selena and I joined IAAP a couple month ago. I've been in the admin field for over 10 years, but never knew about IAAP. I can't remember how I stumbled across IAAP, but I'm glad I did. On this journey, I decided to sit for my CAP this fall because I set my intentions for 2023 in Jan to be a year of "Grinding & Growth" and that included growing professionally. For me this certification will let me show others that 1. Not only am I professional, but I also invest in myself to be a professional, 2. Certification will give me a platform to advocate for my profession, 3. Give me more of a leg to stand on when I try to teach others.
I'm excited about sitting for certification and only a little bit nervous. But I did sign up for Marie Herman's Fall Study Group. Being around like minded people gives me so much energy and confidence. I'm looking forward to getting the most out of being a part of this community and GOOD LUCK to anyone sitting for certification this fall! Best, Selena
