CAP Certification
It didn't dawn on me until I was in my third year in college that the major I was studying for was not what I wanted to do in my future. When asked what I liked to do, I thought about the jobs that came easy to me and that was administration. I left college after my third year and over the past 25 years, I have been blessed in the administrative field: first as an office clerk, then a secretary, and now a C-suite executive assistant for several companies/organizations. Earning the CAP certification has been a desire of mine for years but it never fit into my schedule until now. I feel it will show how serious I am about my career, that I have current knowledge, and that I'm committed to life-long learning. I didn't finish college but I believe I can finish and earn the CAP certification! So excited for this opportunity!!

I think it's wonderful that you recognized early on that you weren't on a pat that would lead to happiness for you, so you changed course. More people should do that! So glad you have joined my study group and are preparing for the CAP. This seems like an excellent year to achieve a super goal! You can do this!

What a great inspiration. I fell into this career because of the opportunities that were available to me when I was starting out. As such, I've often wondered if it really is my call in life. How nice that you followed your heart!!
