The Board of Directors is the highest level of leadership in the association. To ensure the highest qualified candidates are on the ballot, the Governance and Leadership Committee (GLC) will evaluate a candidate's leadership competency by sending relevant questions to their manager, colleague, and a volunteer leader peer for a comprehensive assessment.

Please provide an email address for each below and alert them that they'll receive an email from IAAP. Candidates MUST have responses from all 3 parties to be assessed for the position they are applying for.

NOTE: Returning board candidates have a Board Development Committee (BDC) report sent to the GLC, which is used in place of external references. If you are a returning board candidate, put NA in the email fields.

The IAAP Board is responsible for setting the strategic direction of IAAP, which includes policy, fiscal, and governance. To ensure a dynamic and inclusive association that is relevant to supporting the administrative profession, and one that can effectively uphold IAAP’s core purpose, it is imperative that a diverse board leads the organization. As part of the nominating process, board diversity is to be evaluated across several criteria: professional expertise, knowledge, abilities, and perspectives, as well as ethnicity, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, socioeconomic background, age, and other dimensions of diversity. Consideration should also be given to individuals who bring intersectional perspectives, ensuring the board reflects the diverse lived experiences of our community. Our commitment to diversity is complemented by a focus on equity, ensuring all board members have the opportunity to contribute and lead.
