General Overview

Purpose 

The CAP Exam Panel’s (CEP) purpose is to ensure the industry relevancy of the CAP exam. Members will review CAP questions written by the Item Writers Panel before they are added to the test bank and review the exam forms to ensure alignment with the CAP Body of Knowledge.

General Responsibilities

• Review Item Style Guide to ensure format consistency
• Review Policies & Procedures for CAP to ensure the most up-to-date program knowledge
• Review exam forms to ensure there are no errors or issues with the exam prior to its release to test takers
• Review new questions for content and alignment with the CAP Body of Knowledge
  

   

Time Frame

Panel members apply for a two-year term and are selected by the Certification Administration Committee (CAC). The panel is comprised of up to 8 CAP designees and 2 CAC liaisons.

Term: Two years, July – July

Candidate Criteria

• All CEP members must be an active CAP holder in good standing throughout their term

• All CEP members must be an active Professional IAAP members during the duration of their service on the committee.

• Proven leadership experience within IAAP and/or in the profession
