Branch Director Application

Are you passionate about helping other admins connect to the community and further their own professional development journey?

If you love the IAAP community and want to help it grow, then becoming a Branch Director would be a great fit for you. Branch Directors host their own events and collaborate with other leaders to connect other admins to certification, leadership, conferences, and professional development.

Purpose and Work

Branch Directors support IAAP's core purpose by connecting administrative professionals, both locally and virtually, to the IAAP community, certification, leadership, conferences, and more to help them reach their full potential and have greater impact on the profession overall.

  • Plan a minimum of four (4) events for your local or virtual community, most aligned with certification, leadership, conferences, professional development, connection, or community growth
  • Appoint a Membership and Communications Chair for your branch
  • Welcome new members to the community and connect them to IAAP’s resources and opportunities
  • Connect with community members regularly
  • Encourage member attendance at events through social media, email, newsletters, and conversations
  • Engage with non-member admins whenever possible to introduce IAAP and the value of the community
  • Actively participate in monthly check-in calls with your Regional Director and HQ
  • Share feedback, concerns, and questions directly with your Regional Director

Time Required: 5-7 hours per month

Term Length: One (1) Year (Governance year runs from July-June)

Applications Open: December 18, 2024 – January 14, 2025

Diversity Disclosure: The IAAP Board is responsible for setting the strategic direction of IAAP. To ensure a dynamic and inclusive association that is relevant to supporting the administrative profession, and one that can effectively uphold IAAP’s core purpose, it is imperative that diverse volunteers lead the organization. As part of the nominating process, volunteer diversity is to be evaluated across several criteria: professional expertise, knowledge, abilities, and perspectives, as well as ethnicity, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, socioeconomic background, age, and other dimensions of diversity. Consideration should also be given to individuals who bring intersectional perspectives, ensuring the board reflects the diverse lived experiences of our community. Our commitment to diversity is complemented by a focus on equity, ensuring all volunteers have the opportunity to contribute and lead.
