2017 CAP Exam
I decided to sit for the March 2017 CAP exam to prove to myself I can do this!  I came across the IAPP website in 2011 but I didn't have the nerve to ask my employer to pay for the membership or exam until recently. I've been with my current employer for 16yrs. I was nervous about taking the exam because I've been out of school for sometime.  But maybe taking the exam will give me the confidence I need to return to school.

Congratulations on making the leap of faith but taking the 2017 CAP exam. Your years of experience will help you along the way to achieving success with the exam.

Kudos for approaching your employer to pay for the exam. I'm guessing the answer was "yes".

You will do great.

You may want to reach out to Marie Herman - she has an online class that I believe may have just started - you can get her information for IAAP HQ. Her track record for those attending her study groups is very high in passing the exam! Good luck!

HI Nakia!

I have found many students use this as a stepping stone to returning to school. The whole process gets them back in the studying frame of mind. It can also potentially count for credits depending your school, so it can save you money on a degree.

You can definitely do this!

Marie

P.S. Thanks for the referral. Nakia actually is in my study group already. Smile
