CAP Certification 2017 - My Choice

I have spent a majority of my career as a legal secretary/legal assistant and a few years ago I moved into a new position as an executive assistant and office manager.  My recent position has evolved three-fold and I am tasked with things I've never done before.  I've chosen to sit for the CAP exam so I can further my career and become more knowledgeable about in my new job responsibilities and to further my career and become much more marketable.

I am in a wonderful study group (with Marie Herman as instructor/coach) and my fellow students are a great source of support when needed.  I won't deny that there is information overload when studying and preparing to sit for the exam, but I am learning so much!  This new knowledge base makes me confident in job.

I think it's good for us to stretch our wings every so often and broaden our knowledge. It keeps us from getting too complacent in our jobs and taking the job market for granted. Good for you for going for the CAP and taking on a new position. So much to learn, but how much fun will that be!!!
