Why I Chose to Take the CAP Exam in September
In 2008, I enjoyed taking an array of Office Technology courses at my local community college to earn a certificate in that career field. It is now beyond time for me to update my admin skills. In today's job market, it is imperative to show continuing education on your career resume, and not let your skills grow stagnant. I chose to take the IAAP certification exam for those benefits and I chose to do the September exam as it fits my work schedule better to take classes during the summer season when I have more time and the daylight hours are longer.

That's awesome that you inventoried your skills and current position and decided to make improvements. Certification is definitely a way to keep your skills up to date!
