CAP SmartBook
Good day everyone!
I've been seeing several posts and received messages about materials to use to study for the CAP. In addition to the CAP Study Guide, the CAP SmartBook is another option. Check out this overview.
To view purchase options, navigate from Education & Events to Learn@IAAP. After accessing the Learning Catalog, type SmartBook in the search box.

I would also like to suggest that you check out Horizon Presentations. In addition to creating the Facilitator's Toolbox for LAN study groups, individual candidate digital study materials (including PowerPoints) are also available.

The SmartBook is one of the best tools I've seen to help prepare for the test. If you fully utilize the book, the quizzes, and the review questions it will help you prepare for the test. I would recommend using the CAP Study Guide as well because the test following each Domain are a great way to check your knowledge. I put mine into PowerPoint formats to use like flash cards. Finally, don't wait to start studying. It's a lot of material and you need time to absorb it. Give yourself at least six months. If your life is like mine, crazy busy, give yourself about nine months and thoroughly absorb the information. I passed. You can do it too! PS - a little extra studying on the theories (Theory X and Z) is a good idea too.
