Sitting for Fall '18 CAP Exam
I recently took on the role of Executive Assistant with a new employer who puts a great deal of value in professional development. During the first week of employment, my Executive Director asked if I ever thought about becoming certified. Once the idea was in my mind and after some very detailed research, I couldn't move past the desire to have those three initials behind my name. As my executive and I build a stronger partnership every day, I know that I will be able to use the knowledge that I will gain from studying for this exam to better assist him with the day to day business of running an association with over 400 members. Studying for this exam, I have recently discovered, is going to be no easy feat. I am a part of Marie Herman's online study group that, I now see, will involve quite a great deal of reading. I've prepared myself with a notebook, highlighters, quizlet.com to help test myself, and I've already scheduled a presentation for a group of assistants at a local hospital. I also see a lot of caffeine in my near future.
