Why Im studying for my CAP exam
I was an EA for years before marrying and having a baby. I was able to stay home during my pregnancy and raise my son until he was about 1 year old. After coming back into the work force I felt "rusty" in getting back in the swing of being an EA. Now that Ive been back to work for awhile I am excited to study for my CAP to help give me a leg up and make my resume shine! I have a full time job as an EA now but I have a tendency to work for companies that somehow end up not performing well and have been laid off many times due to poor financial growth of the company. I feel like getting my CAP is a way to protect myself if I'm in the layoff situation again. Im excited to learn so much more and be the best EA I can be!

You never know what kind of a difference the CAP may make in your career - it builds connections, establishes expertise, helps you stand out in a crowded job candidate field, and often makes employers look at you with fresh eyes for what you bring to the table. Taking steps now to prepare for all possible future opportunities will pay dividends over time!
