I Did A Thing! I've committed to taking the CAP Exam

I've been a part of IAAP for a few years now. I've enjoyed the interactions and the support I've received here on SocialLInk.  Now it's time to take to the next level.

I've been an admin of one sort or another since I began adulting many years ago.  Achieving certification is the number one objective on my performance evaluation I just completed.  I am so nervous about taking this exam, it has been more years than I care to count since I last took a test.  But I know that with hard work and through Marie Herman's study course, it is going to happen!

2020 through everyone for a loop.  I am making the most of 2021 by:

  • Getting active - I recently purchase a spin bike and am using the Peloton digital app for cycling, strength, core, meditation and more
  • CAP Certification - I am doing it for me.  If it creates opportunity for advancement, that's great, but it's really just for me.
  • Taking time to breathe - I am using my vacation this year - even it is only a day here and there, I am taking time completely unplugged from work

October 2021 - CAP CERTIFIED - can't wait until those three little but meaningful letters follow my name!

I was nervous back when I jumped into the CAP journey too. I studied like crazy because it had been a "few" years since I had any formal schooling. Congrats on taking this leap and best of luck!

Good luck with achieving your certification goal. I like the other goals that you have set especially the time for breathing. Keep us posted on what you do during your vacation time.
