Sitting for the 2022 Fall CAP Exam
Hi there,
My name is Arlena and I work as an Administrative Assistant at a state agency, Fort Monroe Authority. I have been in the Administrative field for about 8 years now. I started off working as a Receptionist/Administrative assistant for a car dealership, then to a Legal Administrative Assistant at a local law firm then to my current position. After all of these years, I had no idea that there was a CAP certification until I started my current position. My former supervisor, who is a CAP-OM, introduced me to many resources and how to obtain the CAP certification. One of the resources that I have found helpful is Marie Herman's study groups. I have participated in a few of them and I have definitely learned some new things that I had no idea about. Currently, I am in her 2022 Fall CAP study group to prepare me for the Fall CAP exam. Sitting for this exam is important to me because I believe it shows value and initiative that I take my profession seriously. Obtaining the CAP certification will contribute to me developing professionally and continue to expand my knowledge. I am a little nervous for when the exam comes, so I will need all the positivity for this journey! I hope to hear some insight from you all

Study, study, study! Also if possible get the books Marie suggests. There are lots of used book sites. Much success to you on your journey!
