CAP Certification
I started my CAP Certification journey last week and I can say that I am both nervous and excited. I have been in the administrative profession for almost 15 years, from non-profits, and office personnel, to now City government. I joined IAAP in September 2023 and when I read about the CAP Certification, I got excited. I am a life learner and I feel that you are never too old to learn, but I do know that standardized tests make me nervous. Being in Marie Herman's Study Group will help me look past my nervousness and prepare me for greatness. My goal is to pass the exam and share my knowledge and the newly acquired things that I have learned to help my department succeed. The knowledge that I acquire when be beneficial in some of the organizations that I am a part of. I want to thank my employer for this great opportunity as they paid for the majority of this journey, along with sending me to SUMMIT....NYC here I come!! CAP EXAM.....FAITH over FEAR and my faith is sufficient and I will do well.....Thank you IAAP for this opportunity.....and Thank you Marie Herman for your knowledge and for pouring that knowledge into so many people. Can't wait to meet you next week!

Awayne, I am excited for your CAP journey. Being nervous and excited is a good thing, it shows how much you really want it. I hear you on the standardized testing. I was never good at taking tests either. However, Marie's study group will help with that. I look forward to seeing the CAP behind your name!
