Hi, my name is Valarie and I am from RALEIGH, NC and am happy to finally be able to sit for a certification that means my so much to me. I have been very interested in this certification for about 10 years now and have finally gotten the opportunity to take it. I have an Associate Degree in Executive Secretarial training and work for a hospital in the area. I love my job and the satisfaction that it affords me. I want people to look at our profession as a goal to set for themselves. I so often feel people look at a secretary or an administrative assistant or an executive secretary or assistant as a brainless person who pushes paper all day. I want and push for those people to look at us as leaders in the world of the office. WE are the brains of any office we work in and without these brilliant, talented, smart brains, the office would surely not run as efficient and smooth!!! Can I get a shout out for that!!! YES I applaud all of us who work full time and putting forth our brains and intelligence to get our certification as a Certified Administrative Professional!!!!!! Now let's go bust this certification wide open!!! 😃😃

Woo hoo Valarie! I totally agree that as administrative PROFESSIONALS we need to ensure that our coworkers treat us with respect as fully functioning members of the corporate team. People will treat us the way we allow them to treat us!
