IAAP has a study guide to help prepare you for the CAP exam. This study guide was developed by subject matter experts that also contributed to the actual exam. This is a great investment in yourself personally and professionally and I encourage you to keep up the good work.

I will be taking the exam in September 2017. I am very anxious and excited as well.
I think anything worth having should not be that easy to get. I am willing to work hard for it and if it's to make me a more valuable individual.

I was thinking of taking an MBA Degree but thought I can't afford it at this time and even though CAP is a bit expensive, its not waaay over the top expensive--affordable but not cheap and the designation or title we gain after passing should indicate that we mean business and we act purposely to develop ourselves.

Kudos to those who are investing in themselves--although it may burn the pocket a little bit but I hope the return will be rewarding.

Lisa, Your post was more valuable to more members contemplating the exam than all the posts of "I did it!" put together. Your courage in accepting and sharing not only that you took the challenge, but also the setback, and your commitment to try again is a wonderful example for those who are currently studying or planning to undertake this goal. In the words of John F. Kennedy, "We choose to go to the Moon! ...We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and to do the other things... not because they are easy, but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win." Best wishes to you, Lisa, for your success.
