Why sit for the IAAP CAP exam?
Hi! My name is Jessica. I am a strong proponent of self-improvement and believe you only truly live when you are learning and expanding your mind. I have been in my current position for over 6 years and want to take it to the next step professionally. Part of my job is administering certification examinations to individuals pursuing a career in court interpreting. When speaking to our judges, attorneys and court personnel, I promote our Certified Court Interpreters, because of the rigorous examinations and continued education they must go through to carry the title "Certified Court Interpreter." I want credentialing that represents the quality and excellence I bring to my profession as an administrative professional. The history of the IAAP and the standard of excellence they carry is impressive and a community I want to be associated with. I am a wife, mother of two little boys and I work full-time, so I knew I needed some guidance on preparing for this exam. I signed up for a Study Group (Marie Herman) through the IAAP site, purchased the Study Guide and Smartbook and have mapped out a study plan that will prepare me for the September 2017 CAP Exam.
