TA Specialty Certification
I was looking forward to the TA coming online like the OM was, but now I saw something about it's only in person at an event? Is that just a pilot, or should I cross this specialty off my training goals list?

Hello Jennifer, you can find additional information about the TA here: http://www.iaap-capstone.org/.

Jennifer, As Ann pointed out and other associations offer similar training at their annual events, our former annual TEC conference has had the three tracks (CAP bootcamp, and TA and PM certifications) added and the name changed to CAPstone. I would suggest reaching out to your LAN or Branch Director to further assist you with any questions and potentially helping you come to TEC in Atlanta in March but please do not cross any goals off your list. Best wishes!

Jennifer, I've got the TA on my list as well. I'm actually looking forward to the in-person option since it was going to be tough to coordinate all the former requirements of the specialty with my work schedule. I've been to TEC before and excited that at this spring conference I will (hopefully) return with more letters at the end of my name.

Thank you for the replies. Unfortunately, due to personal commitments and the budget restraints of my company, it looks like this one is not in the cards. Good luck to those who are attending. It sounds like an excellent program!

Hi, Jennifer,

We are examining our options to add a TA specialty certificate online, but we don't have details yet. Please don't cross it off your list though! We'll provide more information later in 2018.

Thank you!

I am in the same situation as Jennifer. I'm hopeful this can be an option for those who are unable to attend in person.
Thank you,

I would love to be able to obtain the TA specialty certificate online since I am also unable to attend in person.
Thank you,

I, too, would prefer an online option for the TA and PM specialties. It's frustrating to have to choose between Summit, Leadership, and now CAPStone. At least TEC was offered regionally which helped keep expenses down. TEC also offered face-to-face networking for those of us who perhaps couldn't attend Summit.
