Earning my CAP
Earning my CAP would confirm my skills are at the level I believe they are at, and give me the tool to quantify those skills to my employer (current and future), and help me reach the EA level! I have read the Administrative Professional 15th ed cover to cover and am now In Marie's study Group; I purchased the Study Guide and SmartBook and plan to sit for the exam this spring even though I work at a CPA firm and it is tax season. And, I was asked one month ago to fill the position of the 2 office admins, as they would be letting the other go, and this one is my 1 year anniversary with the firm! I am giving up LAN meetings until summer in order to sit in the spring as I also commute an hour one way to work. I made the decision CAP is my priority, and I will succeed! I was very encouraged to learn during the first study group session that many others are near my age (52), and still feeling young, energetic, and eager to learn and grow. Thank you study group.

Great job identifying what you would need to change in order to make room to prepare for the CAP. Let's get this done!
