As a part of our assignment I was asked to write about why I am pursuing the CAP Certification, so here goes.... Over the last seventeen years I have worked in the administrative capacity from being an Administrative Assistant to an Executive Assistant at the different companies I have worked for. I have taught myself a lot about the job as I have gone along. As I have gotten older, I realize that without a college degree, I need to get certified and further my education in order to not only better myself, but also to be considered for a better paying position within most companies. I feel knowledge is POWER and I love doing things that better myself and the job that I do. I am a little nervous and excited about doing this kind of a study group at age 52, but I will do my best to pass this course and the CAP exam.

I love that you evaluated what it would take to get ahead and then you implemented action to achieve what you decided you needed. That's fabulous!!! Let's go do this!!!
