I just submitted my registration for CAPStone PM Specialty track. I am excited!

I’d like to familiarize myself with terms and concepts beforehand. Any suggestions for texts or websites?

Welcome to Hot Lanta!
Not a native, but I've been here a long time. If anyone has questions about the city, I'll try to assist. I'm signed up for the technology path. A few good restaurants down town Gordon Biersch brewery with dangerous crab dip, Season 52 for the healthy dinners under 600 calories and fabulous. Shopping at Lenox or Phipps Mall should you forget anything (Phipps has a Tiffany Store!!). Site seeing galore if you have extra time, Coca Cola (pronounced co-cola) Museum, we have a Skyview Ferris Wheel, tour CNN and watch a new cast, The Fabulous Fox, College Football Hall of Fame, High Museum and Atlanta History Museum, Walking Dead Tours, I have to give a plug to Delta Air Lines: The Flight Museum is amazing and that little ole fish tank the Georgia Aquarium is pretty neat as well. If you can only do one my top pick would be a behind the scenes tour of the Fox. Y'all come back now!

Karen's suggestions are great! I lived in Atlanta for 15 years before moving to Colorado in 2016. I would add that Atlanta has some amazing international food. My favorite has to be Desta Ethiopian (the fish tibs are the best!). It's about 10 minutes by Uber from the hotel. You also must try the Sweet Auburn Curb Market (and have an arepa from Arepa Mia)! One last suggestion: for some amazing southern/soul food and a big dose of Atlanta history, try Mary Mac's Tea Room. They have a special lady whose title is "ambassador of good will" that will come give you a back rub while you're there! Feel free to email me for more suggestions or info! And yes, everything is Coke! Don't DARE ask for that other cola!

Has anyone received any follow-up emails on what we should bring? I haven't and just want to be sure I haven't missed anything.

Hi Chrissy,

I have not received any follow-up emails either. The planner in me is starting to get anxious. But I'm sure the info will come... Smile

I'm registered and will be in the TA track. Just got an email with more details about the conference, the hotel (which I've stayed at before and it's gorgeous!), the schedule. Love that they have arranged a "meet other attendees" dinner option at the hotel waterfalls each evening. I'm gluten-free, so if anyone else has special dietary requirements, let's eat dinner together! What transportation is everyone taking from the airport? I'm thinking Uber. Super Shuttle was about $150 round-trip.

I'll be taking MARTA. I used it for a good 10 of the 15 years that I lived in Atlanta. My company will pay for a car service, but I just can't do it when the train gets me there for $2.50. Maybe I can use the transportation savings to justify heading across the street to Ruth's Chris for a filet mignon dinner!
