Congratulations on taking this next step in your personal and professional development. I love reading all the different reasons for members deciding to take the CAP exam. It's never too late to learn something new. Best wishes with your studies!

Good for you, Carol! I read (in AARP, I think!) that we should be learning every day to keep our minds active. I was 46 when I took the CAP exam, and though it felt overwhelming at the time, I passed. If I can pass, so can you! Best of luck! You will be beaming from ear to ear when you get that envelope with 'CAP' behind your name! Smile

Carol, congratulations and best wishes!  I took the exam when I was 54 and was glad I did so.

Yes! Good for you, Carol! I'm glad you are going for it. I was 58 when I took the CAP exam last year. It was a daunting task. Studying and retaining was very difficult for me.  Imagine my surprise when I passed with high scores.  (Apparently there was more knowledge rolling around in my head than I realized).  Ha! You will do great.  Study like crazy.  But more importantly, give yourself credit for taking this step. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Best wishes to you!

Best wishes to you in your studies! You are in excellent hands with Marie. My best advice is to stay on top of the reading. You're going to do great!

I know how you feel. I am two months away from 60! Constant learning and then taking advantage of all the leadership opportunities within IAAP will keep us both young and sharp! Best of luck with the exam.

As the saying goes "never too old to learn" plus it keeps our minds sharp.
