I am sitting for the CAP exam in the Spring because I want to be taken seriously in my profession. I'm lucky that I work for an amazing company that recognizes the need for Admins. So many companies take us for granted. My boss asked me and several others to look into continued education. It's not required, but they will pay for it and encourage it. I found IAAP and asked to go to the Austin Summit last year. It was mind blowing. From the moment I arrived, I felt a motivation to learn as much as possible. I was inspired to be better and more efficient. I immediately decided that I wanted to push myself past my college degree and be a part of something exclusive. I have joined the Marie Herman study group and will study with my coworker as we take this journey together. I look forward to the day I have CAP behind my name.

I am doing the same this spring. Continuing education, professional development - and I found others like me in the IAAP group!!! So excited to take the Spring CAP! Joined a study group as well on here. I would be open to a dialogue with any of the CAP's already on here for insight to my exam.
