Webinars for Recertification points
In order for a webinar to count towards re-cerification points, does it have to be live? Can replays be used? If replays can be used, what document is uploaded to the re-certification portal?

Live, yes, Recorded, yes, Replays I believe No.  Documents should be the presenter's agenda--usually a Ppt (power-point presentation) for Live and Recorded.  This is from my experience attending Virtual Events.

For a definitive answer check with certification@iaap-hq.org. I know the recorded videos on lynda.com qualify for points if you uoload the certification of completion in the Certification portal as your documentation.

Hmm. Ann Dahlke, I wonder then what is the technical definition of a 'replay' is... particularly if working with a group. The rules are evolving which is good, but staying on top of what is allowed has gotten just a little more challenging.

I often watch the recorded replays of free Office Dynamics webinars, when I don't have time to watch the live broadcast (I am at work, after all!). Watching them triggers an email with a link to a Certificate of Completion - I submit a scan of that along with a scan of the online description of the webinar to the IAAP portal for my recert point.

I would like to see IAAP weigh in with an official answer. However, as far as the difference between recordings and replays my guess would be that the recordings are the actual recordings (such as I make from my webinars) where people can access them, but watching is tracked. I can verify someone saw them all the way through. Previously IAAP had required that there be something like a quiz available to verify someone's attendance. Replays would be the on demand streaming, where the recordings are streamed but there is no actual way of verifying who watched them. I want to verify this with IAAP since it obviously impacts the CAP points.
