Why I am pursuing my certification...
I am so excited to be preparing for my certification this Spring. I have been an Administrative Professional / Executive Assistant for almost 18 years and while I made leaps in my career in the very beginning, I feel that I have been stagnant for the last decade or so. I often times feel like my position is not taken very seriously and I have struggled to show my worth, knowledge, and my capabilities. I am pursuing my certification to broaden my knowledge in this field and to prove that I am knowledgeable in these areas. I hope to be able to understand the importance of my position and be able to present that importance to others when challenged to do so. I want to grow and I want to be properly utilized to the extent of my abilities. I am proud of myself for taking this new leap for my future and excited to show my family - and my boss - how strong, knowledgeable, and disciplined I am. I have signed up for the Marie Herman Study Group and know that I will PASS THAT EXAM with flying colors!

Good luck to you with the exam. I think you'll find that you will be familiar with much of the material simply from having been an administrative professional for a number of years. I know I felt that way when I started preparing for the exam.

I know the feeling, Summer.  It's great that you could see what's needed and jumped on board to tackle it.  I wish you the best in pursuing your certification!

I love it! Recognizing that you had gotten into somewhat of a career rut and taking steps to get things moving again is fabulous! No one knows what the outcome will be as far as the impact on your career, but clearly you are headed places with that drive and ambition! Let's get you certified!
