CAP Certification
I have been working as an administrative professional for 20+ years. I often considered going back to school but it was intimidating. After recently researching the CAP certification, it seemed like the best fit and complement to the work I’m doing as well as a good place to start some formal learning again, in addition to on-the-job learning.. With this certification, my goal is to improve my knowledge by putting names to information I already know as well as adding to my knowledge through this exam and with future recertifications. I am feeling somewhat intimidated because, as mentioned above, it has been a long time since I did any studying. With this in mind, I thought it would be good to join a study group to prepare for the exam. The study group has been very helpful in providing structure of what to study, tips of how to study and encouragement along the way!

Hi Van,
Welcome. I feel this way as well. I would also love to join a study group that would provide guidance on what to study and how. Could you help?

You can definitely do this! Yes, it will be an adventure to develop the habits many of us haven't needed for decades, but you'll pick it up again in no time. Your self confidence is going to blossom during this process as you realize you are so much stronger than you know. You can definitely do this!

I feel like you and I are in the same boat. I feel intimated because I am so new at the position and you feel intimated because you are an expert already. I look forward to learning from your experiences.
