CAP 2021 Why I finally decided
Hi, I've been in several roles as an administrative assistant, executive assistant, etc for over 18 years. When I started it was just to continue to pay bills and be able to attend Nursing School, but then life started and family came along. I stopped nursing school and continued my career as an administrative assistant. I came across IAAP a few years back and decided to focus on getting certified-then again life happened. We had 3 natural disasters hit our home and my plans were put off. Finally, here we are in a pandemic and I'm able to focus more on myself and what I want to accomplish. For me, it's about completing a goal that I set out to do. My job has informed me that if I complete this I could get a raise and that's a great plus, but not my intentions when I started. My hope is to gain more knowledge and become better at my job to be able to take on more projects. I plan on studying at night and spending my weekends following up on questions I have and reviewing items. I am excited to have this opportunity and look forward to my exam day!
