CAP 2021 -- How I got here
I nicknamed 2021 "The Year of Growth" -- This year I am making an investment in ME ♡ For years my bosses have had me research administrative certification and training. I always presented the CAP certification as something I was interested in, but each year the time would go by and I would be informed that it was not in the budget. So this year, I decided to pursue it on my own. I'm a newly single mother with a son in high school. I have been an Admin Asst and/or HR Admin for the better part of 30 years. After years and years of focusing on the care of others, this year I have taken on three big goals for myself: (1) For professional growth, I have enrolled in Marie's study group and am committed to taking the CAP certification exam, even out of my own pocket. (2) For personal growth, I have enrolled in Wood Badge 135 (a specialized leadership training thru Scouts BSA) (3) For spiritual growth, I have taken on two new roles within the church - including teaching Zoom meeting basics to church staff, committee leaders, and class teachers. Wish me luck -- I have high hopes for this year!

Wow, that is a LOT to take on all at once, but that's awesome that you have identified the key areas in your life where you would like to spend your time, money and effort this year. INVEST is actually my 2021 Word of the Year, so I am right there with you in this process. Let's go get you certified! Smile
