2021 Spring Cap Exam
Studying has commenced toward the spring CAP testing.I think I am going to love the boot camp! I have been an admin/event coordinator/office manager, EA, and self-employed over the years. A couple of years ago I pared down my own business and returned to the regular 9-5 workforce. I enjoy the EA/HR work I am doing now but feel I am being underutilized. I found out about IAAP about a year ago and did some research into the exam. When I approached my boss with the idea to do the CAP she was all for it. So here we are. I am hoping the certification affirms what I know – provides me with renewed skills/ideas/way of thinking. In turn, I hope the certification proves my abilities to my superiors and I can have the autonomy to do more in the realm of my job description. If you aren’t learning you might as well be dying. I embrace the challenge and look forward to what doors may open from this journey.

Congratulations on taking the first step towards your certification! I have also signed up for the Spring CAP 2021 exam and a member of Marie Herman's study group. I own my own businesses and am looking at perhaps a career change in the future. My hope is that this certification will enable both personal and professional growth.
Good luck and happy studying.

It definitely sounds like the CAP is the right next step in your career path. There is much to be done to prepare for it, but with some discipline and organization, plus a bit of moral support from your fellow students, you'll definitely get there!
