Preparing for CAP exam in October
After many years as a stay at home mom I've now been an administrative assistant for 11 years. I was looking for ways to better myself and gain new skills, but I could not land on a decision about pursuing another degree. So expensive. Would it be worth it? At my age? Then I heard about CAP certification, and I jumped in. This new challenge is giving me something to strive for. The community here is an added bonus I was not expecting! Feeling a tad overwhelmed now that I am in the water, but I know I will feel better once I develop a study routine. Wish me luck as I prepare!

Hello-I am also preparing for the CAP exam. I joined a wonderful study group instructed by Marie Herman. I am in my 50's and out of practice, but I decided to take the test for the incentives my company is offering since staff don't have room to grow. I am also taking the test with my team to help build a stronger bond. I would like to be the best me I can and I hope this test will help me be more assertive and confident. I know this is a lot, but I am willing to put in the time and pray for a good outcome. Thank you all for the positive feedback and encouragement.

Congratulations on taking this next step in your personal and professional development. It's normal to feel a bit overwhelmed when taking on something new like this. Joining a study group is a great first step. Marie will help you learn not only the exam content, but also tips and strategies to be a better test taker. Best wishes with your studies!

Christine - So glad you have jumped on the track to obtain certification. It can be overwhelming. Take it one step at a time and you will do fine!
