New for 2022 - CAPS Certification
Hello, I have been a member of IAAP but never considered getting my certification. During goal setting in performance evaluation time, I had to submit future goals. My manager asked me to submit three goals that could further my career. My first choice was, I told her I wanted to apply for the CAPS program and join the study group and it was it in the budget.. Her only response was "Let's do it". So I applied, got accepted and joined Marie Herman's study group. So in Spring 2022, I will be sitting for the CAPS exam. I feel like this new journey that I have ventured out on will increase my knowledge and build self confidence in my everyday career. I am a little overwhelmed, excited, and nervous all at once, since it has been years since I have taken any type of test. The first night of study was very informative and eased my nerves a little. I have learned over the years that anything worth having is worth working for so I plan to put all my free time (the little i have) into READING AND STUDY, READING AND STUDY for the next several months. I know that it will be worth it in the because I am determined to succeed. I know this will help further my career in becoming an executive assistant once I receive my certification. I always believe that no matter how old/young you are, there is always an opportunity for growth and learning and we will never know everything but we can always learn new things.
