Why am I sitting for the CAP Exam this Fall 2023?

Hello everyone! I recently joined Marie Herman's Fall 2023 Study Group and plan to sit for my CAP Exam in October 2023. I chose to join this study group and take this exam because I feel no matter how well we may be at our jobs, there is always room to learn and grow. I have an Associates Degree in Graphic Design and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing but have found I love to assist others and that was the common theme in all the roles prior to becoming an Executive Assistant. A few weeks back I was promoted to Senior Executive Assistant and currently support five Senior Leadership Members across Research and Development at athenahealh. I am eager to learn more about how to better assist my stakeholders and hope to someday support C Level Executives! Looking forward to connecting with you all!

I too feel like there is always more to learn whether it is more efficient processes or better communication with all of the Senior Leaders that I assist. I have been an Executive Assistant for 6 years and looking forward to many more!
