Why I am going to be sitting for the CAP exam
The administrative professional career has been extremely good to me. I have over 30 years’ experience and have enjoyed each one of them. I have been blessed to serve in areas such as clinical research, AIDS research and have managed a world renown scientific journal. However, I have always avoided standardized tests whenever possible.
So, why am I going to sit for the CAP at this point in my career? 1. Because of a very bright, talented, and encouraging co-worker challenged me. 2. To prove something to me.
So, I take the challenge realizing that it will not be easy, especially since I am not only test shy; I am also the primary care giver for my mom who recently suffered a major stroke.
However, I take the challenge because I can do this! I think I can! I can! I have had 30 plus good years as an assistant; however, the best is yet to come.
