Why I am going to be sitting for the CAP exam
The administrative professional career has been extremely good to me. I have over 30 years’ experience and have enjoyed each one of them. I have been blessed to serve in areas such as clinical research, AIDS research and have managed a world renown scientific journal. However, I have always avoided standardized tests whenever possible. So, why am I going to sit for the CAP at this point in my career? 1. Because of a very bright, talented, and encouraging co-worker challenged me. 2. To prove something to me. So, I take the challenge realizing that it will not be easy, especially since I am not only test shy; I am also the primary care giver for my mom who recently suffered a major stroke. However, I take the challenge because I can do this! I think I can! I can! I have had 30 plus good years as an assistant; however, the best is yet to come.

Congratulations to you! I was also in the same situation I was a horrible test taker, had been 20 years since I took a test but the feeling you will have once you are done with that test is amazing! The self worth you feel and the knowledge you have gained while preparing for it is amazing!
